Before you pay

Payment does not by itself create a professional relationship. We carry out a conflict check and client due diligence, and we confirm in writing that we accept the matter and issue engagement terms setting out the scope and the fee before any advice is given.

If we cannot accept the matter, for any reason, your payment is refunded in full. Reasons include a conflict of interest, the outcome of our client due diligence, the matter falling outside our competence, our insurance or our registration, or a completion date that does not leave enough time to do the work properly.

We do not charge a success fee. The fee is the same whether the conclusion is that you overpaid, that you underpaid, or that the original return was right all along. Full terms are on our terms and engagement page.
